Guys I need some help loading some coyote loads. We hunt with dogs not calling. The other guys shoot 3 1/2 #4 buck shot but I only have a 2 3/4 chamber and have tried Federal, Rio, and a couple of others but none pattern at all ! I think they are personal defense loads they all are loaded without wads or buffering. That's all there is. I brought a BUNCH of stuff from Ballistic Products and read many manuals and watched literally 100 u tube videos. I very carefully weighed each load 27 grains of longshot, 25 pellets of #4 buck or 31 pellets of F buck with LBC or MG42 wads with buffering and at 45 yards I'm still very disappointed with the results. I shot these through 2 shotguns with a fixed full choke. Any thoughts, would a ton with an after market choke make that much of a difference ? I'm already in this to deep to quit now LOL, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mjones 59 (should be 69)

If I was limited to 2 3/4" and lead shot, I'd be looking for some hard/copper plated BB's to increase pellet count.

Try a modified choke, or even an IC.
I don’t have a 3” chamber scattergun, but I find a little choke and smaller b-shot work just fine
I am..........disturbed.

I would load some tungsten #5’s if I was still into it. I used to run hounds and I’ve killed a bunch with Remington 2 3/4 #4 buck with 27 pellets.
