They will say they do. When you look closely at them, they’re as flawed as the next guy.

What the Hell does flawed have to do with “Peace of Mind” ?
Being saved and Living an obedient life to the Lord here on earth has more to do with one’s exit plan into eternity.
Why don’t you try Jesus’s money back guarantee and find out for yourself. -John 7:17

Make better decisions, make more money, live more stress free? The issue in the forthcoming poo-flinging contest will be: Who is ACTUALLY living a "Godly lifestyle" versus those who simply CLAIM to do so, but aren't. Too many hypocrites out there whose lives will tarnish the evidence that actually exists regarding the life-changing power of God. But, in answer to your question: People actually living a Godly lifestyle will make better decisions than they would without God; they will be financial secure enough (but not necessarily wealthy by the world's standards); and, they will enjoy God's peace.

You show me a godly person and I'll show you a hypocrite. I know people who claim it, and I know people who live it. I’ve yet to see both from the same person.

Who cares, live your life as you wish, let others live theirs. It's all gonna be black when the last breath leaves our body.

I'm a little uncomfortable with the term "Godly". I would not describe myself as such. Temptation and sin don't go away. As a saved Christian, I'm more content with my life. Is it better? In some ways but not all. Christ never promised that this life would be easier for his followers. Likely harder, in fact. Eternity looks a lot better, though.

You show me a godly person and I'll show you a hypocrite. You show me a person that hasn't sinned. No such thing. It's impossible for everyone to agree on what constitutes sin. You eating a hamburger is a sin to someone.

You eating a hamburger is a sin to someone. You don't have to all agree on what sin is. We've all done it. Romans 3:23, KJV: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

You show me a godly person and I'll show you a hypocrite. You show me a person that hasn't sinned. No such thing. It's impossible for everyone to agree on what constitutes sin. You eating a hamburger is a sin to someone. It’s actually fairly quantifiable. Thank you, WMR. Better than I could have said it.

Waders; Good afternoon to you my old cyber friend, it's good to see you out and about.
It's been too long since I've said hello to you and hope that your family is doing well.
Thanks for the response, the last sentence encapsulates it well.
Speaking personally, as I attempt to be a good servant, I trip up way, way too often to consider myself Godly.
While I try to make good decisions, I don't always or at least in hindsight they don't look as if they always were good ones. I suppose the fact that I'm still here and am inclined to have hindsight is a couple points on the plus side?
Wealth is relative I've found. When we've had cancer scares in our immediate family, we'd have written a pretty hefty cheque to have it go away. Money might be one measure of a few things in life, but I'd suggest it's not necessarily connected with Godliness one way or the other. How we use our time, talents and money combined might be closer? Not sure..
Regarding peace, it seems to me that if we believe that there's a sovereign God ultimately in control, that we're just passing through here, but that while we're here we're still supposed to be effective servants, then there can be a measure of peace available.
We - well I - am still human and it's tough not to look around and to be concerned with some of what we see going on around us these days. Sometimes on the bad days concern becomes worry, which I read I'm not supposed to do. I am good at that though it would seem.
My initial plan Waders was to work towards a reasonably boring retirement and leave the kids a world in at least as good a condition as the one I had.
We'll see.
Best to you and yours regardless of all that though for sure sir.
Dwayne
