What could a 7mm WSM be re-barreled to with out extensive work to the action/bolt, if anything?

I have made several 450 Marlin using this as a start. Assuming this is a CRPF Model 70.

Or sell? I've always wanted a 7wsm. Especially after it set the record group at 1 mile years ago. Just thinking out of the box a bit. Sell. Buy what you want.

I don’t have it currently. It is for sale and I don’t really need a rifle in that caliber but I like the look of the rifle’s stock and wouldn’t mind having it if I could re-barrel it to something I would use. I’m a lefty and this is a LH rifle, which are pretty hard to find and I don’t want to pass something up that I might could make useful to me but I also don’t want to buy something if I don’t have a use for it either. Thanks for the suggestions.

For an easy button chamber that is popular and has plenty of component backup, the 6.5 PRC would make a nice alpine rig in SA with 22” barrel. WSM platforms allow 3.00” magazines. The 6.5 PRC runs around 2.95” for COAL.

How about a 458x2? Would that need to be a single stack? Rob

The WSM's have been necked up and down to every
conceivable caliber out there. I know guys who have the .375 and 458 WSM's
My personal favorite is the 6.5WSM.

What brand of rifle is it? I have a lefty Model 70 in 7wsm. I'm looking for a Browning A-Bolt or X-bolt. I have several left hand rifles I might part with to get one.

It is a Winchester M70. Scottf270, I’d be interested in any other left handed M70s you might want to sell in other calibers especially more traditional calibers like 30-06, 300 win mag, 270 win, etc….

Scottf270,

I’ll keep a lookout in that forum. Thanks.
