I would have thought a true savage list would have listed ie. 250-3000 as that was a true Savage cal... and wonder what yr the .7mm-08 came along... It was produced in 303 Sav, 30-30, 22 Hipower, 250-3000, 300 Sav, 243, 308 and 358. wyo1895 With Savage never say never. I was at an auction a few years back and one of them was on the rack. The bidding was in the stratosphere and I fell out so quick it was not funny. I don't remember what it ended at but it made the .358 look silly. Home for wayward neglected 99's.

They did. The Remington box you posted was produced just after WWII. Earlier boxes were marked .250-3000. Same round, different name. Also a difference in when the 1899 and 99 Savage was produced.
