Nome was paved in 84. My dad ran the plant. When in 84, because it wasn't paved when I was there in July of 84.
What if Jessie's girl is Stacy's mom, and her phone number is 867-5309

I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Actually, paving the streets was a gradual process. Nome wasn't paved in a day!! When I left in 2012, several streets were still gravel.

I just bought a rig in Spokane that is in 308 win with cl Lambert on the side of a custom tube. It's a c series remington 700 in a Mc millan a3 wearing a pre swfa ss10.
It's a nice collection of parts if nothing else.
Does that ring a bell for anyone? Ain't mine or my family. Only other Lambert I knew of in Alaska was the artist on the Kenai Peninsula that walked off and disappeared. Levelock I believe.

This may be a long shot but do you still have the rifle? Or maybe a picture with CL Lambert name on it? Honestly I found this thread randomly. I was looking at my dad's and his obituaries and saw his name on this site. Slim was my uncle.

From those who did have the privilege of knowing him and from his reputation it sounds like a hell of a life WELL lived. I hope you can get the information you’re looking for. 👍🏼

He was a great man. I got to spend time with him in Nome when I was 13-15. I stayed with him and Annabel for three summers. Greatest time of my life. When he moved back home, he continued gunsmithing but mostly building Sharpe's style rifles. They were his favorite. We miss him dearly, especially now my dad has passed too.
