Purchased a used Vortex Venom 3 min red dot.
Also purchased a new Vortex Solo 8x36 monocular.
Neither came with accessories.
I reached out to Vortex customer service and asked if I could get any accessories for them, and maybe a hat.
I received a response to the effect that accessories are warranted for life, and new will be sent. Very polite and quick. What accessories I don't know, I am just very pleased, and a customer for life.

I recently sent in a many, many years old Vortex Fury 6.5x32 for service. The eye cups were frozen in the out position and the diopter had shifted off the scale. I got back a brand new, in the box Viper HD 8x42. Much better binocular than the Fury ever was.

I like how they fix my spotting scope almost every year.

Last year they fixed my tripod...the year before that the ball head.

They are great at fixing their stuff and giving out free shipping and stickers

I hung a VX sticker on a cabinet in my shop.....
I hope that entire North wall doesn't just fall over because of it

If I had similar experiences with a product as some posters in this thread, I wouldn't be singing the product's praises. How many products from a certain manufacturer have to go wonky and be fixed/replaced before you just move on? Isn't it almost like paying to have someone mess with you: Maybe this item will work this time, or maybe not; it's hard to say.

I like products for which I have no idea how good the CS is, because I never had to use it.

That is true but optics are inherently fragile compared to say, our fav hunting knife.

If my new anvil came with a warranty it would be reasonable for me to expect not to ever use that warranty…….

But with optics a good warranty and CS to back it up is important, at least to me.

AC:

Very true.

There's some overstatement to make a point in that part of my post.

Of course, there's inevitably going to be problems with complex mechanical instruments like optics, and of course you want to know you're going to be taken care of if you experience those issues; however, I was making light of how often you read in these forums how great such and such brand is because they replaced my xyz 3 times, no questions asked and they threw in some free merch as a consolation prize for not buying something that was built better in the first place.

I'd rather read about how an optic has stood tough on a pile of public land backpack trips, or after a few thousand rounds with a lot of dialing, or after a couple of days being dropped and stepped on by an uncoordinated youth hunter, etc, etc, etc.

I bought a used 2-7x32 Crossfire II. First outing to the range the crosshair turned. Called Vortex and they sent me a new scope along with a box with a return shipping label for the bad scope. No questions asked and apologized for having an issue. I have since bought two more of their scopes and a pair of binos. Top rate company in my book!!

I own a few Vortex products (Viper Scopes and Binos). Don't know how their CS is, I've never had to use it.

Same here, good bino's for the price.

However, I did replace the vortex viper pst on my 260 for some better glass. It was not clear around the outer edge's of the scope in the higher magnification ranges.

I wrote today that my dot was all blurry.
They wrote back today and suggested I try a few things to see if it my eyes and astigmatism.
It was. Very quick responses to every query I've made.

They used to make good stuff but the last time I got a Viper and sold it as the clarity when shooting at distance wasn't there, then I tried the PST version and still the same problem. Went SWFA and never looked back.
