Yeah One run. Think it was around ten(?) years ago. IIRC had the IL wart, wanted it anyway.

To me it was the perfect Model 17; no heavy barrel or ridiculous underlug, like it's big brothers... a perfect pack'in pistol.

They were gone quickly, and of course S&W in their infinite wisdom has not seen to do another run.

Do these have the hammer-mounted firing pin?

Any Smith with a hole in the top, side of the hammer has the firing pin mounted in the hammer.

Frame mounted started in dash 5 in 629 & 7 in the 625.
