I love me a couple hour afternoon nap. Usually get one 4 out of 7 days now that I’m retired from my career. Who else loves a nap?

I am a great power napper. 15-30 minutes feels great.

I find napping is almost impossible for me. I can’t turn my mind off and I feel like I just can’t relax enough to fall asleep. If I don’t feel good I’ll nap and on the days when I get up early to fish I’ll sometimes catch a quick nap but normally I’ll just sit back and relax…kinda like a bird nap.

If only I could nap as you guys are suggesting. I suffer from insomnia and it's a rare and lucky thing to get more that 4 hours sleep a day. The only time I actually sleep longer are the times that I have had the flu or recovering from surgery.

I try to get a 1/2 hour nap in after work, gives you a little go juice for the evenings doings.

Same here. Been doing it for years so it's not a "getting old" thing for me. I get up early every day. 5am when I'm working. 6 or so when off

I've never been bore sleeping yet. smile

Started on the farm as a kid. Up at 4:30 for barn chores then right after lunch, take a 15-20 minute power nap, then back to work. Still do the nap even today as a retired person.

Grandpaws need naps...... Usually right after lunch is the best time. Power Naps make the rest of the day go so much better. grin

Dr. Andrew Huberman has lots of good info on sleep on his podcasts. He is a real DR. and professor, not some web quack. Might be worth looking into.

Was a normal part of life for country folks back in the 70s when I was a kid, my grandfather and my dad were both dairy farmers, it was a given almost every day at noon right after lunch they would take a short nape on the recliner than head back outside and work for the rest of the day.

Almost never nap, maybe 3-4 times a year, usually on a weekend when I nod off during a ball game or something. It's not that I don't get sleepy during the day sometimes, it's just if I try to nap my mind takes off.

Thanks, it's worth a try. I will look him up and give him a listen.

I don’t intentionally nap and would rather not…..but it just happens naturally! memtb
