Who has one? I like the them because of the dark walnut stocks and no cheekpiece. They resemble sako Finnbears too.

I've had a few. 17Rem, 250-3000, and .375h&h. Always thought they were one of the best rifles Remington ever made.

It's hard to beat the 1988 version in 35 Whelen. For whatever reason they produced some exceptionally accurate barrels during this time period

Hanco- Dbrink sold me a 3006 that feels the best of any stock I've handled. Shoots lights out with several different loads. Heck, even Federal Blue Box 150's shoot 3/4's consistently. Got a McMillian Mountain Rifle stock on a Rem 700 6.5x55 that feels great too but the Classic is............well Classic!!! Agree with you and Ky221.

I've had 16 of them; 250-3000 x5, 257 Roberts, 6.5x55 x2, 7x57, 300 Sav x3, 30-06, and 8x57 x 3.
The 300 Sav and 8x57 were purchased for donor actions when they were being closed out, maybe by CDNN, for less than MSRP.
I still have the 30-06, a rifle that I've never used in almost 19 years, and should probably think about selling it to someone who would use it.

I had 2 a .264 and .257 Roberts. Shot the .264 out. After a seasons use I couldn't get rid of the Roberts fast enough.

8x57, 8mm Rem Mag and a restocked .350 Rem Mag, which kinda doesn't make it a Classic anymore...

Bought my 270 Classic in 1978. IIRC Classics didn't start until '81. And I don't think .270Win was ever an option. BDL maybe?
