Anybody interested in a bit of a hydraulic ram? Some call them hydraulic cylinders.

Pulled from a cardboard compactor. Looks beautiful. Shaft smooth and clean. Fluid clean and clear.

Looking for trades: Open to all suggestions, but I’m specifically on the hunt for… A heavy hydraulic ram with a 8-12” throw (instead of 48”.) 2+ hp electric motors. A 6-8’ piece of I beam ungodly heavy. (2 man or bigger.) Always open to “sporting” trades too.

I found the exact cylinders on the interweb, off oil rigs, rated at 5000psi, same exact dimensions on every point, for $1500. So I'll call the cash value $700... Negotiable!

Would be a BEAST log splitter! The rams on the splitters at tractor supply would fit inside this one!

Might take chickens, rather than eggs... but I got 7 kids in the house! Egg prices are noticed!

I could get it hauled to Lubbock/Snyder for free in about a month!

That would make a dandy press!

That's what I'm building, a forge press, but this one is just SOOOO huge and cumbersome, I don't want to have to build a structure that's skookum enough to hold it up in the air over my head! I need a short, fat ram about the size of two loaves of bread heel to heel.
