Took some guns out to the desert to shoot yesterday. Needed to sight in some irons on one AR that had no optic so I took along this old Trijicon RX34 to throw on top afterwards. IIRC I got it as a throw in on some trade years ago. The tritium is long dead but I love the big window and how bright the dot is most days out in the desert. Yesterday was somewhat cloudy as the pics show but it's still more than bright enough.

Where did all these things go? There must be a bunch out there floating around, but you don't see too many for sale, and they don't go real cheap as a result.

Anyone else still use one of these?

I wonder if Trijicon would replace the tritium in it or maybe swap it out for the newer version of that sight like the Eotech? They’re a good company and their stuff ain’t cheap.

I asked them if they could re-up the tritium and they will do it for in the $200 ballpark.

Don't have that model but I do have some optics that are considered dinosaurs by today's standards. grin Old Eotechs and Aimpoints that look huge compared to the compact sights that are so prevalent today.

I imagine most owners of these are doing the same thing as you are, continuing to use them in daylight. I’d do the same unless it was on a “serious” piece.

What fresh Hell is this?
