That's a pretty good price these days. I bet it won't last long.

Definitely... that's my kind of rifle. If I was in the market for a 300 I'd be on it.

Question how do I tell a T from an R ? Barrel length, serial number, and forend checkering, is what catches my eye first.

Which mount is the side mount hole pattern for, anyone know? If I remember correctly it was a Weaver no. 7. I had one for the longest time because I knew I would find an original factory drilled early model. Never happened. Gifted it to a young man in the navy at Norfolk a couple years ago to let him continue the hunt.

Not a Weaver T7. The center hole being lower isn't ringing a bell for me. When I first glanced at it and saw 3 holes I was thinking Pachmayer, but it's not the standard Pachmayer.

The Echo mount holes were straight across, unless there were different versions. One I had:

It would be nice if someone would create a Sticky with pics of all the KNOWN side hole mounts. Seems like every time a gun shows up without the mount everyone is at a loss to identify the hole pattern. If forum members with an identified side mount on their 99 would provide a pic a valuable reference would readily be available.
