I’m loading some 300BLK rounds using 125 Nosler Ballistic tips. Question to the forum; have you found it necessary to taper crimp your reloads? I’m getting.004” neck tension when seating.

The only thing I have seen an improvement on by crimping is the Barnes 110 and 120 bullets and this has held true only for AR type rifles . My bolt gun doesn’t show any improvement by crimping . This is speaking accuracy wise . Kenneth

Thanks. I had read an article where the writer had had problems with the same Nosler BT I’m loading, setting forward when going into battery. He noticed an accuracy difference when it occurred. I didn’t have any problems with mine, but it fixed his problem.

I haven't seen the need to crimp mine. 125 Sierras in a 16" AR FWIW.

I've never crimped any of my 300BO stuff for a couple of different rifles and not had any issues for either accuracy or function.
