My Wife, Patricia, and I do. It is for the longest Mini Golf Hole in the World at 459 feet 6 inches at Shipwreck Golf in Cortland, NY.
As I had previously posted, Patty and I were married in 1997 at ages 41 for her and 43 for me. We invested money revamping my house to fit us plus our 6 kids. Fast forward to 2004 - kids were mostly gone and we were antsy for a project. How do we as newly married in our 40's catch up to where we should be in life financially. Shipwreck Golf was born - we planned, borrowed, bought 4 acres and in the Spring of 2005 started building in an old Corn field. Opened the outdoor course on June 1, 2005.
Fast forward to 2010 and were within a year of retiring from teaching, we decided to build an Indoor Blacklight course. We had a 60'X300' building built and opened it the day after Christmas 2005, all while still teaching full time. We did not have a tree or presents that year and spent all Christmas day finishing up for the opening. We added bounce houses, snack/ice cream bar and had Birthday Parties. We added a Paintball Target range outside 2 years later. I should add that the Indoor course is the biggest in the US.
Ok now go to 2016 and both parts of the business are doing great BUT as anyone in Business can tell you, you can't go stagnant. You have to keep adding or changing to continue to attract customers ( I should that also between 2008 and 2016, we both also redid 2 houses, the one we were living in and the one here on the Lake that we currently live in. We like to stay busy!) My wife thought of the idea to add a LOOOONG mini golf hole around the whole outside course. Of Course, like always, I said why not! So we got a local cement guy and together we got to work and finished it that Spring.
I started reading that Chucksters was building a Mini Golf near Binghamton, NY and was stating the longest mini golf hole in the world at something like 201', a whole 260' or so shorter than ours. So the idea of a Guinness record was born. My wife applied to Guinness and We got started. Hard requirements: 1. Had to have a Drone photo over top of the hole in question. 2. Had to have a Surveyor map out the course. He had to role the course path to get the measurement. He then also had to Laser measure it, add the totals and divide by 2. 3. Had to have 2 Notaries witness all of this and swear to the measurement and notarize the figures. 4. Had to have yet another individual witness all of this and attest that it all happened.
No one involved could be paid and they could not be related to us either. When completed, my wife forwarded all the info to Guinness and we waited. Exactly one year later, we were notified in 2017 that we did indeed have the World Record. Lots of other mini Golf places in the US claim the longest but most of them are about 200'-230' long, falling way short of our record.
We sold the business in Summer 2018 and have almost totally retired but the record is still in my wife's name. There was only one place to sign when she applied so I got left off the record. Or at least that is what she told me..... Hahahaha

Thats pretty cool! I have no records of any prestige. I was the first at my high school, at least according to anyone’s knowledge or recollection, to hit a home run both left handed and right handed in the same game.

I've had several Guinness's but I don't think there was enough to amount to a world record, just a full belly.

My penis was in the Guinness book of world records. But then the librarian made me take it out. Ok old joke, but I still think it's funny.

I was on a construction crew that built a house from the foundation to shingles to landscaped to poured driveway in less than 8 hours. It was the fastest time and made it into the Guinness record book around 1980 timeframe I just checked and the latest record is under 2 hours.

World's longest sandwich in 1988. Don't know if that still stands & really don't care.
