Other than removable mag I cannot think of anything else similar.

Both have tang safeties. Both have a short bolt throw (60 degree for X-bolt and 70 degree for RAR).

Thanks, Oakster, but I already have a .300 Winchester (in a Model 700). I will probably end up with an X-Bolt, but I am pretty tempted by the BLR, also.

I had a Portugal assembled BAR in 7mm RM that I finally sold because it never lived up to my expectations.

I have a BLR circa 1971 in .243 that is a good shooter and my daughter likes.
