That's what I'm talking about. You just can't spout out that the 7mm-06 is the same as a .280 without clarifying. This is correct info. The reason for the recall was the .280 Rem/7mm Express Remington was not the same case as the 7mm-06 wildcat cartridge, thus the confusion with marking the barrels as such, and the marketing departments decision to recall and destroy all rifle so marked. Two hundred such rifles shipped and only 40 recovered for destruction, so yeah it is the holy grail of model 700’s. There is a Remington 700 BDL with the 7mm-06 marked barrel on G.I. Listed at $9500!!!

Several years ago I saw a 7mm/06 700 on the used gun rack of a cabelas…. I was broke and didn’t buy it…. It still haunts me!

The 280/7mm Express is one cartridge that I think would be a great cartridge from pronghorn to moose or caribou. It's one of my favorite cartridges. The bullet selection for the 7mm's is one of the best.

I have a 700 ADL marked 7mm Express. I wouldn’t sell mine for that price. How many have you seen?
