I was adjusting an outside camera and using my phone as a guide when a coyote cruised up the creek. It took me a second to figure out what the heck I was watching. A few seconds later a second coyote followed.

I'm getting pics nightly of a female and then a male, always within a minute of each other.

None, they keep down the house cat population.

"Honey, have you seen Snowball lately?"

'Tis that time of year. Usually I hear foxes barking now, but the coyotes definitely put a dent in that. I'm facing a sliding glass door in that photo, and a couple years ago a fox was trying to avoid getting killed and I swear it would have run in the house if I left the door open.

The coyotes around here are city stupid. I once called one up to my dining room window in broad daylight.

Some city folk moved to our hill a couple of years ago. Couple weeks later they sent a group email asking if anyone had seen Mr. Whiskers, he hadn’t been home for days. The biologist beat me to the response that Mr Whiskers is likely coyote poop by now.

Funny as hell.

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

There's benefits from shooting both on sight.

No doubt - my PETA contribution for the year is shown below. The photo was taken near the creek.
