Most upper receivers are not marked by the manufacture. Some upper end ones are, like Noveske, BCM, Daniel Defense and others, but not always. Some may have a small manufactures mark on them that you have to look for. BCM for example, will sometimes put a "BCM4" over the gas tube hole near the rail. Most uppers will have a forging mark. That tells you where it was forged. The most common forge marks you will see are the keyhole, which is Cerro Forge and the square, which is brass aluminum forging enterprises.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Great link from TWR!
just FYI. For the most part the make of the upper matters not. It doesn't have much to do with function or accuracy. You might have to face the threads a bit I hear. But I've yet to have to do that and have found only a rare barrel now and then that wouldn't hold MOA and under.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
