He had a schtick, that's for sure. When I was younger, I always thought he was a weirdo. But the more I learned about him later the more I liked him. I liked the lyrics t his song Down Here Where You Belong:

His marriage on the Tonight Show was a clown show par excellence Fun fact: That event caused the largest electrical transient ever on the PJM interconnection that didn't actually result in a major blackout. So many more people stayed up late and then went to bed at the same time the dispatchers were caught completely off guard and almost didn't catch it in time. Almost took out the whole Northeast.
