The plan is starting to work itself out perfectly. They have played it for years. And now they are testing the waters.
Unfortunately if its not stopped cold and Biden gotten out of office, its only a matter of time before history that they erase, repeats itself.
With no other place to go, like years ago folks sailed to the USA, there is only here and we have to be ready to stand firm.
We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....

Already did before the committee vote. It won’t do any good as the outcome is a forgone conclusion

All you have to do is look at the makeup of the committees: House Consumer and Public Affairs Members Joanne J. Already did before the committee vote. It won’t do any good as the outcome is a forgone conclusion Seems like the real question is, who's going to file the lawsuit and lead the charge.

That’s too bad for New Mexico. I’m not too far away and have family there. I’ve always loved NM. Banning the 50 BMG makes no sense whatsoever. When California did the same thing, I looked into it and found that there is no other weapon out there that has been involved in fewer crimes, suicides, accidents, even animal deaths. Just about everyone out there doesn’t use it for hunting. Not to say they haven’t used it to blast a varmint or two before but it doesn’t have dozens of kills, like a 6mm in the same collection. The only real criminal acts it’s involved in is the theft of them. The gun is totally unremarkable in everything bad when you look at the facts. In fact, the ones out there, are fired less often than others belonging to the same person. This is one of my favorite arguments with liberals about banning guns. I beg them to prove me wrong. I ask what useful purpose is there to banning them. About the best they can come up with is that it’s potentially dangerous and I ask how dangerous is an 300 magnum? Can it bring down aircraft? I also cite other long range, heavy hitters as well and they don’t know what to say.

That really sucks. I used to live in NM, just outside of Albuquerque. Monroe's was my favorite Mexican restaurant. Definitely miss Rudy's and Whataburger.

It's certainly called the land of enchantment for a reason. I’m a native and the place has become unrecognizable People are moving their families out of state because of the political climate. Also a very unfriendly state for businesses

Wouldn't this be dead on arrival under Bruen? Ideally. But there are lots of states testing this ruling.

Largely an agriculture state, and the state sure doesn't have a problem taxing ranchers and farmers.... OR the oil industry. AND they banned trapping in NM. NM can't even get a republican US rep elected in strongly conservative districts now. Did I mention that NM is fugged?

Along with the influx of non-native Marxists, we have a generational stupidity problem. Long established natives have always voted democrat and continue to do so even though the democrats running are actually Marxists at this point, but they’re too stupid to realize it. The state has been under democrat control since the 1930’s It’s a welfare state.

No specific knowledge on this current effort but know NM politics from experience there. My opinion is that this is a trial balloon and test - those hacks have nothing to lose politically by pushing this and they know that the citizens who care about the principles involved probably can't muster the clout to drown it before passage. They also realize that it can be killed in court, but are willing to run the course as plotted by others elsewhere.
