I was going to. But the general consensus here was to give it a whirl prior to jumping in the deep end. It’s working out.

If it were a HS precision it would be on the pad, some of the 1990's version had them but not sure about the lightweight. My accumark came with one.

torque the screws properly (call weatherby for the specs) and leave it alone as far as the pressure point goes.

in this case it is . Screw runs thru the lug, it requires bedding under the first 2 inches of barrel if you remove the pressure point . Lug must be fully bedded under and behind it as well.

At one time, I had three of these in .270, 7mm Weatherby and maybe, 7-08 but can't remember for sure on the 7-08. I sold them to fund a NULA. The NULA is long gone and not missed. I sure wish I had the Weatherbys back. They all shot really well, and I don't remember bedding any of them. I particularly liked the .270.

I don’t think I’m going to bed it. It shoots pretty good. I’m kind of surprised it shoots so well with the H-1000 powder. It doesn’t do too bad with RE-22 either. I thought it was going to be for the days I was doing some walking for white tails but the way it shoots the 150 Partitions I’m going to use it for everything. Thanks guys.

270 Bee is just a fabulous round. I much prefer it over the 257.
