I am looking for a H&R or New England all camo single shot in 20 gauge. Also would look at the 10 gauge and 12 gauge PM me if you have any to part with. I figured I would ask here in the turkey hunting forum if not allowed delete

Have not seen one of those in awhile, but will keep my eye out for you
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I used stencils from Freedom and Krylon paint to camo my 20 gauge. I did it in Bottomland. It turned out really good and wasn’t hard at all.

Dean Anderson has one he just picked up last year. Might contact him and ask if there is any interest in parting with it.

Good luck. I think he really loves it. He may be sleeping with it. If you do get it, use gloves until you clean it.

Ahhh yes, my first real turkey gun was a 12 gauge FEF camo. Kicked like a friggin mule. I had to use 2-3/4 rounds. Didn't pattern particularly well with the fixed full choke. It was light to carry and the camo was great. I A 20 with the new loads today would be pretty cool.

I think Dean said his choke measured .585. My H&R barrel is marked "MOD." I measured it once at .585, which is full. I must not have had the inside calipers centered because I now get .590, which is an Improved Modified. It patterns TSS #9 at 30 yards pretty well.

Slight thread hi-jack.
I had one in 10 gauge back in the early 90's. It was a killing machine. I could cleaning kill a bird at 55 yards using Winchester Hi-Velocity shells. Unfortunately, the recoil started splitting the butt stock near the receiver, so I tripped it. Great shotgun.

I have a 12 Gauge H&R that I had shortened to 24", threaded for Rem Chokes and added a scope base for a red dot. It's pretty nice until you pull trigger, recoil is pretty heavy. This year, I picked up a H&R 20 gauge, it's going the same route, shortened to 24", threaded for Rem Chokes and a scope base for a red dot. It's getting finished in graphic black cerakote. I'm going to try some TSS 1 5/8 #9 loads in it and see how it goes.
Check eBay for stock/forends, you can always have them dipped or painted if you can't find Camo ones.

Yes the 12 gauges are very hateful with recoil especially if they don't have the weight in the stock!

I parted with my 10ga this last year. No place to go turkey hunt anymore, and im not paying what they want.
A 10 NEF/H&R will do the job With the factory 24" turkey barrel it would slaughter at 50 yards
A member here bought my L.F.C. reamer not long ago. It helps considerably
Good Luck

I have a Nef 10 gauge. I put an ATI pistol grip stock it. Adjustable length of pull and more grip control. I also put an AR type forward grip on the wooden forend. Still kicks put I have much more control. Good luck in your search.

I have owned two of these. First one I bought new when they were released by H&R, which I sold the following year after shooting exactly four 3.5" turkey loads through it. Black and blue across my chest and shoulder. Never occurred to me to try a 3" or smaller. Oh well.... About 10-15 years ago, the one pictured below popped up on gunbroker, so I hit the buy now for $90. Sent it to Sumtoy who added the fiber optic rifle sights. Was shooting Hevi 3" straight #7 until I got into TSS and the 20 gauge. But this little single is coming out of retirement soon, but this time toting 2.75" with 1 5/8 oz. of straight TSS 8s. Great little gun, good luck in your search!
