Higginez: Those two songs are incredible. I'm not a fan of his politics but I love his music. I have much of his music and play some of his stuff weekly. I think Tunnel of Love is one of his best albums. Two of it's best songs are the cover song and One Step Up. Nice taste in music. Throw out so more. -tnscouter

I never paid much to Springsteen when I was younger, didn't care much for him at all. Then when that video "A Black and White Night" with Roy Orbison came out with all those other artists it was obvious to me he really sucked in comparison.

Watched him doing Promised Land on U tube the other night after some friends had played it live. He seemed very phony for a talented guy. I'd rather just listen. If we have to agree with every artist's personal beliefs and flaky opinions in order to appreciate their creativity we deprive ourselves of a lot of uplifting experience. Willy Nelson, Linda Ronstadt, Neil Young, Michael Jackson, and how many more? Fame tends to make people think they should have a broader influence when really they should shut up and sing. Don't listen to them talk!

As far as his voice goes, it’s the same with other singer/song writers who’s music I like…Dylan, Waits, Hiatt, etc. Sounds like a rough gravel road.
