I get a lot of e-mails from Mossy Oak. This one about their new vest is very interesting. $450 is really steep for a vest. But it looks like a cool vest, nonetheless.

I'll get one... I have almost worn my Dixon out since I bought it.. not really, but it sure looks like it has been used 40 days a year for the last 20 years.

I hope to get one as well. Pretty nice looking. Hunt it or collect it, a neat vest indeed.

No interest in a $400 vest, here. But, I think, if you're not gonna be in Nashville this Thursday..........you won't be getting one.

Looks like they are reserving some numbers vests and the unnumbered vests for their website.

A person could buy a very nice call for $400. A $400 vest is a hard pass for me.

$450 will buy a nice used turkey gun. If they want $450 for a numbered vest with a box of "number matching hand loaded" Apex shells, I sure as heck wouldn't pay $450 for an unnumbered vest out of their store. Still looks like it will be a nice vest, though I don't like the box call pocket on the inside of the vest. I wouldn't carry a box call there. The close up pics look like it is using cotton webbing instead of nylon webbing. Overall, it looks very good.

I had an original bob dixon purchased at the NWTF convention years ago!

Never used it or any of the calls it came with. Neither did my two friends who got one also. One guy kept his and used it. Me and the other sold ours about 3 years ago. I got 1150$ for mine. His went for 975$

So if I can find a way to snag one or two. I will absolutely do it.

One of the best turkey hunters I know carries a slate call in his pants pocket, and a diaphragm call in his shirt pocket. I've never seen him wear a vest.

Sasha. I don’t have another. I only had one. I’ll call my buddy and see if he wants to sell his and what price he would take.

I don’t use a vest much anymore honestly. I only use mouth calls anyways. The only thing the vest offers is a dry seat and game bag to me

Use a call pouch that hangs around my neck to
Hold a couple different mouth calls.

And here I was trying to justify another ol tom vest for a $170.

Guess I'm out of tune with the economy !

I was at West Point MS this weekend to shoot a indoor 22LR benchrest match and went by their outlet while I was there. That is the home of Mossy Oak and it is a big outlet. I did not notice that vest but then again, I was not looking for it either.

I'll stay out of tune for that price.

That’s because they aren’t on the shelf yet. They made their debut today at the NWTF convention and are hitting their website later this spring.
