My son and I have been wanting to buy a few more cows, and have been holding off because we are going to be close on hay. Friend called yesterday and said he was going to a sale where there was going to be some good cows. He bought 8 of them, and his dad wanted three, so we took the other five. They're 4 to 7 years old, and were pregnancy checked at 6 months or more bred. Looks like they are going to be a handful. Nah. The other cows chased them around for a while, but this morning they're all buddies. Nice calm cows, worth a premium in my book.

I sold a load of young bred replacement cows recently.
They brought damn good money.

Good looking cows.....
For my preferences, I just can't warm up to an all black herd. Lots of people like them, but the good Lord made good momma cows in all breeds.
Love our Hereford cross cows and a black Angus bull.
good disposition is a must, no matter what

Yeah. I like the black baldies. Also have a soft spot for red and white ones. Growing up, we had Polled Herefords, and my great-grandfather and great-uncle raised registered Herefords, and were very well known in in this part of the country as having good cattle.
