Carl Zeiss Conquest MC 4.5x14-50mm Target.
Target turrets, #20 Z-Plex Duplex.
Used scope with box & paperwork. '1 click = 1/4 Inch / 100 yards'.

Exterior shows some small marks, most noticeable on parallax knob by blue Zeiss label - see additional pictures in 2nd Image Gallery folder. Some faint ring marks (more like a shading, not a gouge) primarily on bottom.

Glass : I didn't notice in use but now in my hand out in the sunlight I can definitely see marks, the most notable to me is a 'scuff' type mark on eyepiece glass at about 11 o'clock. I know glass quality is very subjective and clearly I'm no optical genius (or professional picture taker). While it didn't detract from use while mounted for me, it's obvious in the right light in my hand and so may or may not bother you. You can see in the newer pictures taken in sunlight on deck in the 2nd Image Gallery that I created.

I'm asking $525 shipped USPS insured with tracking to lower 48. Yes I'll ship to Hawaii & Alaska, would just need to check options & cost. If you want another shipping method like FedEx we can talk.

I'm flexible on payment type - Paypal (but discrete F&F only), possibly other electronic if F&F and no 1099, money order or personal check with wait unless I know you.

Please see the additional pictures added in 2nd Image Gallery. Link here:

If you have any questions or need additional pictures just let me know.
Thanks,

Tim

Hi Tim
I assume you carefully tried to clean the lenses to make sure those aren't smudges. I've seen lots of marks that looked permanent turn out to be dirt/smudges.

Nice scope by the way.

Hi Steve,

T to date I just used a soft lens brush and light air, I didn't want to make it worse.

Someone else suggested to try high end camera lens cleaner fluid. If I can find that tomorrow I'll try just to see if helps.

thanks

Tim

Good idea on the solution. Touching lenses dry feels sketchy. I have used lens cleaning solution but had better results with straight 91% Isopropyl (NOT Rubbing Alcohol).

Good luck, hope the marks come off.

Updated pictures Feb 20

https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/galleries/18156399/zeiss-update

And a sincere 'thank you!' to Steve & several others who reached out via PMs with cleaning suggestions. I previously noted I'm not an optical genius, and I'm still ignorant but I learned a lot on this project and I appreciate the help.

While it's still definitely not "new / pristine" and still has visible marks (some which may still come out with someone smarter cleaning it?) it is in my opinion looking much better now.

I am bumping this used Zeiss back up for sale, please reach out with any questions.

Thanks,

Tim

thanks, Tim
