The Lazer makes set up a snap.
And you will never shoot a screen.
The Chrono in my pic above is a model 33 that I bought in 1986.

A 18 ft piece of string with a 2 oz weight works just as well, loop one end around the rest forend stop, string it through the screens, level and center.

Addendum

All three cables are wire tied together in order they go on the pipe. Plugs are color coded to the sensor/inputs so no mistakes. Setup is easy

Main thing is Oehlers are not that hard to set up. I set mine up in the garage the first time out the box. Saved a lot of time first range trip as I already had the short cuts figured out.

You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My Oehler is getting out of the case this year and on the range. I'm really anxious to see what kind of information it's going to reveal.
Are there any "tricks -or prep I should do before I get to the range'? I'm going to set it up in my back yard first just to see what you folks are talking about.
Thank you all again.
If you think of anything PLEASE shoot me a pm.

I have a Pro Chrono and my only complaint is, during the first and last couple of hours of daylight it won't pick up the bullet unless you rotate the screen towards the sun.
I don't know how a person could reload without some sort of chronograph. It's an essential piece of equipment if you want to know what your actually doing.

I have a CED Millennium 2 Chronograph System and it works ok.Main unit is on the bench so you can see every shot.If you hit a screen or sensor they can be replaced. The path through the screens is big enough to set up and shoot through easy to me.If not careful yes you could hit something but the main unit would be ok.

I just wrap tape around the front rods about 6 inches up and align my crosshairs with that. It's impossible to shoot your chrony/screens with that setup. Love the magnetospeed, and use it after load development for velocity readings.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

I had one for several years. It is pretty good and a less expensive alternative to the M35.

Not being married to any particular political party sure makes it a lot easier to look at the world more objectively...
Having said that, MAGA.
