I just bought a couple of boxes of 150-grain Barnes 30-06 ammo with Norma headstamps. Has anyone else noticed this, or am I the last one to get a clue?

thanks,

Okie John

Don't have the components to reload for 45-70 so I bought the only ones I could find. Barnes, box had Starline brass.. Guess they use what they can find.

Barnes has sourced brass from where-ever they've had to. Still, they have the same owners as Remington and you can expect that to be the default state.

Sierra owns the rights to Barnes Ammo and bullets

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

Yep. I bought some Sierra 9mm the other day that is loaded in GFI brass. I guess the guys next door were sold out.

Sierra owns Barnes ammo/bullets.

Federal owns Remington ammunition.

Remington firearms are owned by yet another company.

This^^^

Probably the biggest beneficiary of Remington’s bankruptcy was Sierra. They bought a well run, established, bullet and ammo manufacturer—cheap.

Let’s hope Sierra doesn’t screw it up…..

And Parkwest got the real business assets of Dakota Arms. Another entity got the Dakota Arms name.

And the Vista CEO resigned as earnings missed.

Make some effing PRIMERS!!!!!

Ok mini rant over...

ETA: How in the heck can you miss earnings bad enough to resign, when you have a product that you literally can't keep on the shelf, and can practically name your price on said product. SMH

Kinda like Clarus Corp. owning Sierra, and thus Barnes.

Looks like he was asked to resign. Also, Vista is splitting into two separate companies soon. One that will be ammo and components, the other will be their outdoor products. I was told about this last year from a Remington employee, surprised it hasn’t already happened.
