Not sure what it's good for but can get reasonable accuracy out of a pistol round. Both of these shoot well, left is Winchester BEB 147gn factory, right is a handload using Speer 147gn Gold Dot: Best groups to date at 200yards: Weird looking rifle:
Whatever you said...everyone knows you are a lying jerk. That's a bold assertion. Point out where you think I lied. Well?

Cool! Check out the lettuce protector threads at; https://forum.castbulletassoc.orgAfter checking, the lettuce protector threads are found under the plinkers hollow threads.

Think. It's not illegal, yet.

Interesting. Here those single shots are marketed as CVA rifles, with Bergara handling the barrels. I cut down a 7mm-08 to 16" and it is a funny-looking little thing when the can is not installed.
Now with even more aplomb

I'll have to dig around there. I hadn't had much luck accuracy wise using ready rolled cast projectiles, but might need to look back into it. The Winchester factory 147gn loads are around the speed of sound, or just over, but my reloads are adjusted to be mostly under the speed of sound. Makes a little bit of a difference for me to keep my reloads under. The Hornady XTPs or Speer Gold Dots both shoot well and next I want to find out how well they expand at the various distances (velocities) out to 200yds. I took it out hunting a little while back but never got the chance to test it on any mobile ballistic testing media (ie rabbits or pigs).

I really wish we could get one of these in the states. It’s kinda dumb we can’t.

Well I think to be of any effective use it would need to be sub-machine gun, but otherwise it's something to play around with.
I was told that the laws in Spain don't allow Bergara to sell barrels to swap out and change the cartridge chambering - sounds ridiculous. I guess that's where CVA / Thompson Contender differ.

I think an 18" barrel threaded with a can would be big fun.

I have an old 38/357 NEF single shot that does great. When shooting 38 specials through it, even the +P stays inherently subsonic. Great shooting gun. Ballistically, similar to 9mm subs.

Have you used the 38Sp rounds for hunting?
