I'm looking for a youth/smaller stature shooter turkey gun with the following specs and can't seem to find it. 20 gauge. Semi-auto (gas or interia). Shorter barrel length. Shorter and preferably adjustable LOP. Pic rail or otherwise ready to mount a red dot sight. Seems like the same specs that a lot of hunters might want these days but I can't seem to find a manufacturer that includes them all on a model. I can find a pump with everything else or a semi-auto but without either the LOP or the optic ready feature. Mossberg comes close with the SA-20 but the LOP is fixed at 14 1/4. Same with the Winchester SX4. Why? I'm 6"2" and I don't even what that long a LOP on a dedicated turkey gun. Why be stuck with a fixed LOP or have to cut the stock down? Any thoughts on one I'm missing?

Franchi affinity 3.0 compact. Use a sumtoy mount for the red dot because it gets much lower than a weaver base I think the LOP is adjustable with shims.
Go to youtube and watch dave owens Pinohti ProJet review his non-benelli gun.
That gun will get you close.
I am biased though.. I really enjoy my three franchi's and they don't miss a beat. Older 12 affinity for duck & misc and a newer 3.0 in 12 and 20 gauge that are set up for turkey with optics. Delightfully nice triggers as is.

Winchester makes a SX4 in 20ga compact. I have one, and it is a killer. My 9 year old killer a bird with it last year. Recoil was a little much for her, so back to a 410 this year. I should note, the compact wasn’t drilled from the factory, but $50 and 30 mins at the gunsmith fixed that. They also make a SX4 turkey, with cantilever barrel, and adjustable length of pull. LOP is listed at 14.25. I’m guessing that’s with spacers included, and removing them will make it shorter.
Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

Don't know your budget, but this has spacers to adjust L.O.P. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/969965593

Best thing for adjustability. I bought a 870 tactical and swapped the stock to a Knox spec ops recoil reducing. Had sumtoy build a choke and put a Burris FF3 on it. All 3 kids can use it by just moving the stock. The stock keeps the recoil down and then some low payload tss loads do well to help with recoil also

Thanks for all the great info. I didn't see where the SX4 turkey model has an adjustable LOP. The SA-20 Tactical Turkey does seem to have a shorter LOP which is great, although apparently not adjustable as is. The regular SA-20 turkey appears to have the longer LOP. I didn't know that the Franchi compact came from the factory with the LOP spacers and D&T receiver. That could be the one. Appreciate the assistance. Time to get ready for spring turkey season!

I typically prefer a gas gun in a 12 but don't feel the difference as much in a 20.
