Many years ago, Frank Sinatra was being interviewed. The interviewer asked hm who was the best singer in the business?

Sinatra did not even hesitate. "Tony Bennett. He's got the best "pipes" of anyone."

In his prime, Sinatra was a pretty fair singer himself. smile

I know there are more.

I'll be right here waiting to hear why Richard Marx made your list.

I don’t know. There are different aspects of good voices that may appeal to one and not another. For example, Tom Jones’ raspiness compared to Andy Williams smooth, pure sound.

I’ve heard it said that with Elvis’ range, he could hit every note on a piano keyboard.

I can too. That's just called range though.

Talent on the other hand.....

Best? To me that’s pretty fluid. But this week I’ve been listening a lot to Raul Malo and the Mavericks. Those cats were something.
