Slightly more accurate is the Sierra 140 HPBT with equal terminal performance. Both over BG, of course.

Cabelas, Gonzales, LA, had a number of cans of Varget on the shelf a few months ago. I bought three, left a good selection for others.

It’s more available now than it was for quite a while.

Pharmseller is spot on with his loads. I played with some 6.5 stabil followed the data on Hodgdons site with the 139 SPBT Hornady ! I worked up to max in my T3X 7mm -08 superlite. Just a touch under 3000 fps and very accurate…..no better than what Pharmseller shared with me, but an option.

I'm liking that StaBall 6.5 more and more. A couple weeks ago I was messing with it in a new 22-250 and 6.5 Creedmoor. Worked great in both rifles. I'd give it a try in the 7mm08. That stuff meters so nice too. I actually bought 2 more pounds of it today and thinking about going back and buying more tomorrow..

Of those listed, I’d start with Varget. I’ve also had success with H4350. I’m guessing you’ll find hunting accuracy with either one of those or both in the bullets you’ve listed.

H4350 is purty dang good in the 7/08 and 7x57 too. Wife’s Abolt Micro shoots little bitty 3 shot groups with the 139 BTSP.

I was in Tennessee last month and saw a bunch. I was also in Scheels in Reno and they have a schidt ton of it. It's getting made and put out on the shelves now. I'm not a huge fan of that powder, but I've been seeing it.

I just worked up a load for my daughters 7mm08 rugger American using H4350 and 150eldx. hornady brass
REM lg primers
43.5gn h4350
Bullets seated at 2.156 ogive (stole that from pharm)

I don’t have a chrono and I know these aren’t hot loads but she is shooting .981 Moa with 5 shots at 16. I like that this powder is stable as we hunt in northern Alberta.

Would love to try some big game if I can ever find any!

Extrapolating from Hodgdon’s data that load should be 2550 fps or so.

Not much is going to survive a poke through the lungs with it!

Pharm I got my hands on a few lbs of big game and I also bought a new 7mm08 that will be going into an oryx chassis. Made some test loads with h4350 and big game for it when she arrives. Just a little excited for it to arrive. Dealer says maybe this week. I’ll definitely be trying your magic load. My nosler brass seems to show pressure signs 1 grain earlier in my 06 than hornady brass so I’m gonna work it up slowly.

Tight chambered Forbes LH 7 08 46 Gr RS BG is Max with Nosler Brass WW Brass can go 46.5 Gr with BG and Most 140 GR bullets.

Get better accuracy and Lower pressures with H 4350 in the Forbes 7 08 and WW Brass.

In 3 other 7-08,s that I had 47.5 Gr of RS BG worked great with 140 Gr bullets and any brass with no pressure signs.

Nosler 7-08 brass is 3 % heavier than WW 7-08 brass I reduced charges about 3 % with Nosler brass.

Glad I’m not the only one that sees pressure sooner with nosler brass. Be interesting to see if it levels out after a few firings.

Pharm’s spot on in my tikka t3x big game is perfect. I have played with 6.5 stabil and had good results and rl15 . But nothing beats PS loads.
