Bushnell banner 4x12x40 vs simmons whitetail classic 4x12x40 which will work best. On a limited budget These will be essentially the same scope, as Bushnell and Simmons are under the same umbrella. I'd probably go with the one PaulBarnard linked or whichever scope has a parallax adjustment between the two you listed.

Agreed the Aetec is better than the other two, even more so at the sale price. If you're set on one of the others the Bushnell is better. That dusk and Dawn coating works.

I’m Not sure you will tell much difference. My brother in law works for bushnell, I have a lot of bushnell and Simmons scopes. Same company more less. Imo, Simmons is underrated.

I always had good luck with my 4x fixed Nikon rimfire scope. Had it for years and no problems

Burris Droptine gets my vote. Those 4X Nikons are good too.

I'd look for a 4X rimfire Nikon Pro Staff on eBay.

If I recall correctly, quite a long time ago, the Whitetail Classic was made in Japan - I'd check the "made in" stamp on your Simmons and see if it was one of the older ones.
I had one many years ago and liked it a lot!

This looks like a good deal for $110. It's always nice to have adjustable parallax on a rimfire scope.

Just bite the bullet, double your budget from 100 to 200 and you’ll get 3 times the scope. I’d look at tract or maybe doug can help out. IMHO, Buy once cry once. Edit. Saw this in my email. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1...link&utm_campaign=vortex-db-tactical

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

I put a Blue Light Special Bushnell Banner on my .22. Bought in 1980 for $27.99. Still works, but not real clear.

Doug has the 3-9x32 Sightron rimfire for $148. Nothing special about it at all, nobody will go oooh or ahhh about your scope. Your buddies likely won’t be impressed by features. It fits 22’s nicely & holds zero for many years even with goofy kids dragging it around to shoot squirrels.
Boring dependable & reasonably priced. Put it on a 10/22 & plink targets or kill varmints. I understand they have an excellent warranty but don’t know anyone whose used it.

"Boring dependable & reasonably priced." It's not a snappy marketing slogan but this does make a statement of long lasting quality
