Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile. When we removed the 4" hard pipe, it had an opening the size of a tennis ball end to end of a 5' piece. The actual wall cap with extension had a golf ball sized opening. I could see how this situation would be troublesome.

Especially when it gets below zero. I found a video of a dryer venting into a bucket of water I'm thinking of trying at least for the winter. You've got to hand it to a blind prostitute

We had a real problem with mice chewing through those plastic outside louvered vents. I fashioned a hardware (hail cloth?) cloth screen to fit over the outside vent. No more dehydrated mice to clean out of the vent! 👍 ....or live mice in the house! 😡

Only problem with this is is usually puts the plumbing for the washer on that same outside wall, which is a really bad idea in at least half of the nation. 4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.
