There's about an inch of sleet in south central Wis. Schit is like driving on tiny ball bearings made of ice. Everything is canceled. Only vehicle that passed the house today was the snowplow.

Relative in Northern AZ says I-40 is closed most of the way across the State. That'll screw up some trucking plans.

Getting to be "Full Coverage Insurance" weather out there... Unfortunately that is true. The ice buildup here took a very large section of a maple tree down and into the back of the house an hour ago. We are supposed to get this freezing rain through the night and I'll be very surprised if we don't lose more really large branches. Neighbors took a major hit also but half of their tree is laying on the roof. Ice storms suck....

Glad we just have some cold and not many bad ice storms.

Ice really does suck. A lot of old maple trees in our town doesn't help either. They are pretty fragile and many of the really big ones have a lot of hollow trunks and branches. Makes great squirrel homes... Surprised this big one came down. It looked healthy... Ice is heavy.

I said it before but I'll say it again.
Glad we just have some cold and not many bad ice storms.
Ice really does suck. We had one earlier this winter and now I have 80 acres of trees bent over 90 degrees. I have planted 100's of apples and 10,000' of pine and oak and the bulk of them will likely be dead or have the tops chewed out by the deer come spring.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

Hmmm. Negatory 1 here now. Grocery shopping day and my energy drink froze between stores. So I am basically screwed for the next few hours. Put it on the floorboard by the heater. I managed to make it home. That was a close one. Minus 4 and falling with minor wind. Ya'll watch your pipes.

It's moving in here soon. For our area, prediction is 4 - 9" and strong winds.
Been colder than a witches tit all day, with the wind, and is supposed to be worse tomorrow. They are talking -50* wind chills. It is no fun digging out, in that chidt. So far, our great storm turned out to be chidt. Maybe an inch of snow, winds blowing it right across the east-west roads. The drive to work wasn't bad at all.

We didn't get the 6to10", just maybe 4" of snow I woke up to. Ranches 40 to 60 miles north got 10 to 18", interstate 80 n 25 closed due to 60 to 75 mph winds. We got over a foot of snow and 50mph+ winds, schools closed yesterday and today. Drifting like crazy.

-10 degrees an hour or so ago now -1 and starting to clear up. Looks like it will be sunny soon!
We also got another inch of snow during the night.
40's are predicted in a day or so!!
