I had one of these when they first came out seems like 12-15 years ago. Was kind of fun but sold it for some other had to have.
Bought this one recently & it is not as much fun getting punched in the shoulder as it used to be.
As the title states, #1 405 stainless. Comes with the rings, not the Leupold 2.5x8.
It has a few scratches/rubs. Nothing drastic. No box.

I have some some dies, brass & bullets I could make a deal on for the buyer.

I have the same gun but it has been rechambered. It basically uses a 405 case that is 3.25 long vs 2.5 for the 405. Even 300 grain Barns at 2600 plus are not bad to shoot with a brake. 400 grain Woodlieghs loaded warm do bounce you a little. Shoot factory 405s in it and it is a power puff.

a great gun from a great guy. I have one that's blued and it's a deer killer for sure and you can eat right to the hole. Congrats to both parties

I had a 458 Lott in the #1 Tropical, but foolishly let it follow someone else home.

I know the feeling well on letting guns follow other people home… the ones I sold usually involved one of my daughters being born or needing food and diapers for them… I miss the rifles… but one look at the fine young woman they have become makes me thank God for them daily!

I feel ya'.

Being "gainfully-unemployed" most of my adult life, I've experienced several periods of "financial embarassment".

I've found that owning and being able to dispose of firearms is a very effective way to temporarily assuage the symptoms of aforementioned condition.

In addition, it is one of the few addictions of which I'm afflicted that is able to support itself (at least that's what I tell myself, and others).
