Many years ago when I was in college, I watched Maverick staring James Garner, a very popular show at that time. In one show, whatever was the situation in the teleplay, Maverick, who was always "on the con" says, "You can fool all of the people half the time and half of the people all the time ... and those are pretty good odds." The screenwriter who wrote that script knew what he was talking about. I've never forgot that great line.

I never found out who the screenwriter of that episode was, but I'd like to have met him.
