Congratulations! I don't want to wish life away but I'm jealous!

Congratulations, I did the same three years ago. Retirement is a very good thing!

Well done - congrats.
It took three attempts and some strong incentive before finally getting it done right. Remained as busy as ever but the concentration has been much more on wants rather than needs.
Wishing you every happiness and enjoyment.

I maxed out contributions to the 401 K, and will probably still have to slide some into an IRA this fall to keep it out of the 22% tax bracket.

But there are very much worse problems a fellow could have.

Hoo Ray for me!

I threw in my job yesterday and shall be working on my house for a couple of weeks 'til I take my girls down to Tassie for a looksee, after which we will finish the house, sell it, then move down to Tassie for good.

Deer on every horizon.
No forty-nine degree Celsius temps ever again.

A new chapter prior to retirement...and God knows that I have long set my sights on retirement in Tassie.

Somewhere around Wynyard or Burnie would be nice, though anywhere between George Town and Smithton would suffice.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I'm planning on retiring this summer and leaving someone else or no one to deal with everybody's silly-ast problems. My only outstanding scumbag was sentenced yesterday and I suspect he'll leave in a bag.

Congratulations! I retired from my career in 2018. Part time job 2 days a week for the last three years. Between church stuff, my job, and family things, I’m actually busier now than when I worked full time.

They are talking of raising retirement age 2 years…guess that don’t apply to them. Been retired going on 24 years and times flies…you will realize don’t have as many years left on this side so better enjoy while health is good.
