Your opinion and experience about mounting it on a 375 HH or another heavy recoiling rifle. Or should I choose a Leupold to be on the safe side?

while i think they are a great deal for the quality of optics you get for the money, fully multi coated lens for good light transmision. the two piece tube construction would make me think twice about putting it on top of a beast like a 375 HH. why not get the 3-9x40 4200 elite for under 250.00. it is built for and tested against larger bores like yours.

The biggest problem with a bushnell is the very short eye relief for a rifle of that recoil level.

Thanks, didnt know it was a 2-piece tube. Eye relief is also importan to have in mind. Another scope will be chosen.

as far as eye releif goes i have a 4200 elite on top of my 7mm rem mag and there is more than enough relief. the 4200 is a one piece tube construction and is one tough scope. do check them out with everything else you look at. heck take a peek at a S2 Sightron too.

At about the same price range as the Legend there is also the 2x7 Burris FFII ......one can be had for $159 plus shipping , a neat little scope I would have zero qualms about bolting onto a 375......

Listed Eye relief for a Bushnell 4200 3-9 is 3.3", Burris II is 3.8-3.1, Nikon 2-7 isn't made anymore, Leupold 2-7 is 4.9-3.8. The longer eye relief is when the scope is on its lowest power. I don't know if Bushnells is when it's at 2x or 7x they don't say. IMHO they all short for a 375 except the Leupold.
