I was out today for coyotes. I was using a Savage A 17 with a MINOX ZA 5 I purchased on the fire. I recently purchased a new one and mounted it on the .243 Tikka for Coyotes and Whitetail. I am impressed with these scopes and a pretty good value. The second is a 2-10 x50 illuminated.

I have two ZA5 2-10x40 and one ZA5 3-15x42 mounted.
The 2-10x40's may be my favorite scope.

I have several ZA5's in 1x6, 1.5x8, and 2x10. When I bought them years back they were in my opinion the best value for money in a scope at that time. I have had zero issues with any of them. The 1x6's are the over achievers of the lot.

Have 5 or 6 ZA-3 3x9 BDC we use them for Prarie Dogs with 17 HMR,s, 2 ZA5 2X 10, had 1 4x14 ZA 3 .
All very bright and adjustments work and hold zero. One ZA3 3x9 had a loose ocular Minox fixed it.
Have 2 or 3 xtra Minox ZA-3 3x9 for when one fails but has not happened yet my son put one on a AR 10 and it still works! Several are on the Savage A17 semi auto in 17 HMR.
Scope tubes on the ZA-3 will dent easy I limit torque to 14 inch lbs.

There were a few for sale on EBay last month. Also COVE CREEK OUTFITTERS IN BEDFORD PA had some BV models. I purchased the 2-10 50 Illuminated, last one they had in stock.

I've got a $100 3 model on a .223 and it works so far. As much as anything I chose it to fit the somewhat limited ring supply available for the Krico rifle (middle). It dialed right in and stays put. I haven't subjected to a four wheeler ride yet though.

I'd like to give the THLR reticle a try, but Minox only offers it in a very large, heavy scope that I wouldn't care to schlep around. Given the advantages of it for closer range shooting, I'd think they'd offer it in 3-12, 3-15, 2-12, etc with 42mm or so objective.

I love my minox scopes.
I have several ZA 5 10x40
I broke one, it was totally my fault.
They sent me a refurbished one at no charge. They didnt want me to wait for mine to be repaired.
Top notch in my book.

What is the difference between the za5 & za 3 ? The ZA3 is lower in price and quality versus the ZA5.

My experience with the 3s and 5s was very poor. Sample of 6 but all broke in short order. Optically very nice, mechanical junk. Maybe they have fixed their problems but i had reticles fall out, turrets quit moving and lenses shift so badly focus was impossible. Good luck to all of you.

I’ve got a ZP-5 on my favorite rifle. Had it for 5 years, no problems. Great optically too, I live it.

Love the ones I have! Have a ZA5 3-15 on a 6.5x284, been there ~10 years without an issue. One with SF going on a Creedmoor this winter.
ZA3 vs. ZA5 is the same as Swaro and others, ZA = model, # = power multiplier - 3-9 = ZA3, 3-15 = ZA5 or that was my understanding.
