I've no experience with any bergara but I did find one today that I liked the look of. Does anyone have any experience with the b14 Timber? The one I looked at is chambered in 300wm and I'm not sure how the recoil is? I currently shoot a 30 06 with no issues with flinching.

All I've owned are the Bergara B14 Hunters. The barreled action is Gem-Dandy. I think they are one of the best deals out there now, even better than the current Mod 700...it seems to me anyhow. Good luck to you! I've owned two 300WMs ( used R23/175 LRX for a cow elk with first one) In my second, I settled on 87gr of Ramshot Magnum under the Barnes 175 LRX, Fed 215M Primer, RWS cases. 1/2" shooter! I've also owned them in 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor.

I've owned 3. One was a shooter, the others disappointing. I let them all go. Keep in mind that while they do a good job of making their stocks LOOK good, they use the same construction as any other tupperware stock. They use an action based on the Rem 700, but have addressed the 700's shortcomings so if you're a 700 fan you may like the design.
They do LOOK good and check a lot of boxes, but I'd buy a Tikka 10 times out of 10 before another Bergara.

They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.

I have a Hunter in 6.5CM and a Ridge in 7Rem Mag, both shoot nice groups and recoil isn’t bad but I believe the Ridge is a little heavier than the Timber.

I had a B14 Ridge Wilderness version in 6.5 creedmoor. It was very accurate and I hunted it a couple times, killing a couple of deer. I liked how they all use Rem700 style bases. The Ridge has a slightly heavier barrel than the hunter or timber and it was heavier than I wanted to tote around. I sold mine but only because I wanted another Bergara which I just ordered. I ordered the Premier Mountain 2.0.
I think you'll love the Bergara B-14, they're a lot of rifle for the money.

The Bergara B-14 series is heavier than many comparable rifles, much of that due to the barrel profile. I have a couple Ridges and a Terrain from 6.5CM to 300WM. The 300WM is a Ridge and with 190gr bullets it is a one hole machine. 168gr bullets aren't far behind either. I run a brake on mine but I don't like recoil. As others have said since they're a Rem 700 clone there are a host of aftermarket options too.

Not a Timber, but I did own a Woodsman in 7-08 briefly. It wouldn't meet their accuracy guarantee, so I sent it to Georgia for them to resolve. Rep told me that they pulled every 7-08 Woodsman in their facility inventory, and none would shoot. After 10 weeks, they sent me back a rifle that had receiver and bolt work done, along with recrowning the muzzle. It would shoot sub 1" occasionally, but 1.25 - 1.50 consistently. And that was with Bergara's recommended ammo.
Also, the ergonomics were horrible. The stock wrist and fore end felt like the barrel end of a baseball bat. The replacement did have some pretty grain, though.
I sent it down the road, cheaply, with full disclosure, and the cust service worksheet.

Had a couple, they both shot well.
I actually prefer the 700 action. Don't think the Bergara actually addresses any deficiencies at all. Prefer the Remington cocking piece to the MIM/cast junk piece on the Bergara.
Enjoyed them, but would prefer a 700 with a trigger upgrade TBH. That is the only place I think the Bergara really beats them.
If you like it, grab it and be happy!
