Are rimfire snap caps reusable? Once fired, they dont want to feed through my Remington pump. So far all my snap caps are one & done.

I found the orange are garbage, think some were pachmyer brand, either way they do not stand up at all. Had pieces come off and jam the gun.

Why would you want to be feeding snap caps through the action of your rifle especially ones that had been "fired" ?

I often use fired cases, making sure a fresh piece of rim is lined up with the firing pin each time.

I didn't know they were made for feeding through actions.

I use the small, plastic, drywall anchors in my revolvers. Last a long time and cheap.

I keep a handful of spent shell casings around for dry firing a 22........

I've used plastic snap caps, spent cases and dry wall anchors. They all work, but I mostly use the dry wall anchors now.

It seems a lot of people confuse snap caps with action proving dummies. The drywall anchors is a good idea.

Old70 I do as well
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Using fired .22 cases is old school. A total PITA to chamber through a port, like most semi autos.
No reason not to buy a 100 pack of yellow wall anchors. As others have noted, they may even feed through some mags. I've never had one fail to eject.
Looking for a dedicated wear-proof .22 RF snap cap seems like an exercise in futility, given the realities of physics and materials, but I could be wrong.
.22 dummies are another matter. The package I recall had a warning not to use them as snap caps. Damages the rims, and they aren't cheap. Use them to test function, feeding.
Stupidity has its way, while its cousin, evil, runs rampant.

Just for the fun of it I ran a #4-6 wall anchor through the tube magazine of a Remington 121 pump rifle. It fed from the mag into the chamber just fine and and after dry firing even extracted okay but only partially ejected. The anchor rim is a wee bit smaller than a .22 so I'm surmising that the extractor hold wasn't strong enough to allow the ejector to throw it clear of the rifle.
Did that a few days ago but just now tried to feed two of them through a 10/22 magazine and a Tikka T1x - that is, I loaded two into each mag.
They both fed from the 10/22 mag, chambered properly and extracted just fine but wouldn't eject, they sort of laid there on top of the mag.
The Tikka was a complete success, both anchors fed into the chamber without a hitch and then extracted properly and ejected quite forcibly.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Always used spent cases. Never heard of using drywall anchors.
Will give it a try!
