I just had the runs. Too much jambalaya over the last 2 days.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

Nice project - I miss mine in a way.
It was a '45, and I stuffed a Buick V-6 in it. Think it was a 225.
Fun to putz around in on USFS roads. Mine was never licensed / titled / street legal.

It's likely it's been thirty years since it last ran.

Mine was a '50 CJ3A. I had some great times with that thing but I needed a 4x4 that was fast enough to drive to the hills without being towed.

Fun to putz around in on USFS roads. Mine was never licensed / titled / street legal. Mine was a 1946 Willys CJ2A. I bought it in 1966. I completely rebuilt it including what you did, a 225 Buick Special V6 engine. A near perfect fit. Switched all the electric to 12 volt, etc. Bought a metal top that enclosed the whole driving and rear compartment from Sears. Made it a lot more comfortable in snow and rain. (That was when Sears carried a full catalogue of Willys Jeep parts. ) What parts I could not get from Sears I got from Whitney in Chicago. With those low low gears, that Jeep would climb a telephone pole. Great out in the boonies, but it would bounce out your kidneys on those old rough roads. I drove many, many miles out in the boonies with that Jeep. Never once got into a bad place that it would not get me out. Sold it in 1997 when we moved from Los Angeles to Idaho. I think I still have a couple of pictures of it stored away. If I can find them, I'll scan and post them here. L.W.

I have a friend that has a 52 Willis PU.
Got it running years ago did the brakes and all the important stuff and we took it elk hunting in CO.
Thing would climb goat trails.
Used it at the deer lease for a few but the love grass would wrap around the driveline something bad.

That's why Chevy dealers give every new buyer a case of clap- - - - -so they'll have something that RUNS!

Yeah, the one wire Chevy alternator, good move. Jake apparently knows the ropes.
No vehicle much sweeter than a warm summer day in a an old CJ with he windshield laid down.
Don't over rev the F-4 with those 5.38 gears & don't pop the clutch as the rear axles will say bye. Otherwise...enjoy!

Hope you enjoy it, they are special. Add a shimmy shock, or Saginaw steering box . Keep your thumbs out of the way.

I have put many miles on one like that. I worked for an oil exploring co. Finished the job in Montana in December. The crew was moving to OK.
I drove 1 and pulled one to OK. city. The weather was in the minus range until Sothern Kansas. A trip to remember.
