Alliant followed by IMR and then Winchester, Hornady in 4th place....
Schtick, you must be way low on your estimate of how much RL 15 and IMR 4895 you've shot...
Heck even I have shot that much of either of those two powders, and I figured you shoot a lot more than ever do...
and I shoot quite a bit. Huh didn’t know hornady made powder.. Her Imagination,Pretend and Toxicology, routinely take her to places that don't exist. Hint. The poor poor(literally) Brokedick Candy Striper Bed Pan "Technician". Hint. Fhuqking LAUGHING!............. BeLOW me.... the e is silent... Fhuqking Laugh about that... How would you know if someone's dick is broke? It doesn't have its own bank account? My dick could piss on you just fine... Your imagination seems to dwell on dicks a lot... even notice that? We Do... Your two working brain cells does allow you quite the imagination... A LEGEND in your own mind... IMpressive for being 4 ft 13 inches tall.. Ain't easy being Schtick isn't it, Short, Bald and Cross Eyed and always smelling like a Dead Skunk... Guess the bar of soap I sent ya for Christmas is used up already.. and the Shampoo was a dumb oversight on my part... Keep living the dream Stumpy....

Alliant............their line covers all I really need including handguns.
Maybe VV next as they have some of my favorites for rifles, too.
MM Same here.

I’m currently all over the board with brands but could be very happy with Alliant overall even though I’m really enjoying Big Game & Hunter at the moment.

I have my faves from several different brands. Last time I counted there were over 20 different powders in the reloading room. Years ago it would have been IMR but they discontinued 4320 but I still use their 4831 and 4350. Then there's the versatility of H4895 and 700X for shotgun and practice rounds for pistol and various Alliants when they decide to ship it. I've never found one brand that performed best.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor

Suppose, for a minute, you could have an unlimited and free supply of powder of one brand. Let's also assume all other brands were unavailable to you. Of the following brands which would you choose? Which three cartridges, out of everything you may be handholding for, would drive your decision?
Alliant Accurate Hodgdon IMR Ramshot Norma Shooter's World Vihtavuori Winchester The Hodgdon Extremes. Because temp stability is important to me. Although the newer powders are diluting that statement these days...... And just about the time I started liking the Enduron powders.....poof!

Hodgdon is my most used followed by some particular IMR powders. VV and Western powders are seldom stocked here.
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong. Getting into reloading to save money is like getting married for free sex.

Hodgdon, IMR & Alliant in that order. I’ve used IMR since I started reloading in the 60’s. But there’s several Hodgdon powders that I’d hate to give up. Including 4895, 4831sc, and to a lesser degree 1000. IMR 4350 and H4350 are in a tie for me right now. I’m starting to use several Alliant powders and they have been very good. I may have had a pound or two of Norma years ago. I used to use 2400, unique and bullseye a lot, but I have had little use for those powders recently. I’ve stopped using Winchester powders altogether. But I might start again with their new powders. Their old ball powders were way too sensitive to temperature change for me.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

About a year ago I would have said Hodgdon all the way but now I would choose Ramshot. velocities are a bit higher, very consistant and accuracy has not suffered.....Hb

Mostly I use Hodgdon extreme powders for rifle, though I have a variety of Alliant, VV, IMR, Ramshot, Winchester, AA.
Shotgun it's Winchester and Alliant with some H6 added in.
Handgun it's Winchester, Alliant, Hodgdon.
Truthfully I can load about everything I have with H4895, H4350, Unique, Bluedot and 452AA that I have a stash of... and do end up loading my hunting rounds with.
