Hard to buy from someone with so few posts. I bought from a new poster, but he sent me the rifle first, then I sent him a check. He then used me as a reference.

[quote=tCan]There's no legal requirement I ship from an FFL in my state. I can just box it up and ship it to any FFL.

Based on my experience last year shipping a rifle from NC(about 40 mi west of tCan) to Fla
The receiving FFL must except from a non FFL...most do, some dont. The receiving FFL then sends the seller an email with instructions and a copy of his FFL. The seller places a copy of this FFL and a copy of his driver's license in an envelope inside the box. I shipped mine with USPS no problem. Their only stipulation is that the box must be clear of any markings showing a gun inside. I simply wrapped the box throughly with brown crate paper. Cost, IIRC was $65 with insurance and arrived at the FFL in 2 days.

Appreciate your time in dealing with me as a potential buyer.
After getting back from my lgs/pawnshop FFL guy Grady

And after speaking with him.
Showing him both threads on this.
He basically said it is tough for a newb on a site like that with those dynamics going on.

But he said your price of 500 shipped for a model 10 in that condition was a heck of a buy.

I no longer have interest in your rifle.

He basically said he has several .308,s past 30 day payment and closing in on 60 day forfeit mark.
And several other recent under 30 day rifles from people who have a history of not paying on them either.

Told me to be patient.
Mentioned a howa 1500 and a win syn stock xtr to me.

Then reminded me who sold who a pristine Beretta 390 last spring for 420 OTD and who called whom on the Monday morning that it came out of Pawn.

So I gotta withdraw my interest in your rifle.

His best advice was if it continues to go slow for you on that website.
Pay the 6 or 7 bucks to place a ad on your local arms list and do a state resident to resident ftf sale.
And then you won't be paying shipping or running around doing stuff.
Armslist "QC" now is pay to play on it via a membership.

Good luck with your sale either way man.
Hope you can establish a good rep on here.
And you never know someone else might be waiting to see what I was gonna do and jump on it now.
Even though they could have said " I will take it" and been totally GTG AFAIC.
But their was also a area of courtesy their from other potential buyers seeing my interest in it also until I committed one way or the other.

BTT for a excellent deal from tcan on this rifle....

Not hard at all. Somebody can have 1000 posts and have been here for 2 years. Make their very first classifieds ad for something that doesn't exist and take your money just as easy.

Ask for a specific pic or 2, make a phone call, while on that call have them send another pic of something specific via text and make the deal or don't.

Pretty easy for them to prove the gun is real.

The ones who will not give specifics or take a call then you don't buy.

Ask what address they are shipping from and confirm name and Addy jive.

This schitt isn't hard at all.

Up top for a good buy.

This thing is still for sale guys. If theres a show of hands of interested parties, who are otherwise distrusting I'd appreciate knowing that. Feel like Ive been branded a pariah here...

I m not interested in 308 but like the savage rifles for cheap effective weapons.
Have you thought about selling through an outfit that will hold funds in escrow until buyer is delivered the item? Worked for me as a buyer from a individual on a .17hmr few months ago. Some on gunbroker use it also I think...Can't think of the name but could find it for you.
May satisfy some buyers nerves.

The easiest way to do these deals is to do a dealer to dealer transfer. The seller takes the firearm to the dealer, the dealer calls the receiver, and the funds are then transferred to the seller. Work out the details!!

I've been so overwhelmed with fake news that I'm now nuts. Let's go Brandon
