Let's say Trump backed out, then it would be the current field in play, plus others including DeSantis and Scott. DeSantis would beat Scott by an overwhelming margin, as well as everyone else for that matter.

I like Tim Scott, and think that he is a very good man. However, I do not think that he could stand up against the attacks that he would get. President Trump may be the only guy that can completely ignore the attacks and continue doing what is best for America! I knew the Haley connection, but that does not prove he's one of them. She likely did it for the Black vote in SC. Who would you want to see on the ticket in 2024 for President and VP? Despite her 2nd amendment problems I'd like to see the next Republican POTUS appoint Tulsi for Sec of Defense or State.
