For whatever reason my P64 M70 refused to shoot them well. Well being relative, best groups were1/2-2 MOA but it shoots everything else 235-350 into MOA or less. Tried RL15, IMR4320, H335 and a few others. Hope you have better luck as it would be a good bullet for NA game and has a better BC than the 235's and 270's.

I'd give RL15 a try or anything similar in burn if you have it.

I have a 375 Improved, so my data doesn't help you much, but I use RL16 in mine for 3000+ but if it were a standard 375, RL15 (or similar) would be first up.

I just found my old notebook from 2-3 years ago, it looks like I was having good success with the max load of RL15 from the barnes manual.

I'm loading 76 gr of RE15 with the 250 TTSX bullets in my 375 HH. I think that charge is a little under the Barnes max. This is a slightly compressed load so I use the Lee crimp die to keep everything from moving and also because it feeds much better. In my M70 the 250 TTSX and 270 TSX grain Barnes bullets shoot to the same point impact but I have settled on the 270 TSX just because. My furthest shot has been just shy of 300 yds and I did not feel handicapped but that being said I think the two bullets are pretty much interchangeable. For what it is worth I have over 1K rounds through my 375 with 80% being the 270 TSX and the remainder the 250 TTSX (not counting a handful of Sierras that I initially tried and couldn't get to shoot for s**t).

I could not get this bullet to shoot in my H&H. I’m going to try it in my .375 Ruger. The 270 TSX was lights out.

I could not get this bullet to shoot in my Model classic 375 H&H, or any 250gr bullet for that matter.

270TSX and 300 TSX were fine though.

Try H4895, my Model 70 Alaskan with the 250 TTSX results in outstanding accuracy. Performance was perfect last September on a free range Eland in South Africa, Sable in Mozambique and a few other critters.

Privi Brass, Fed 215, H4895, OAL 3.580”, light FCD.

70.0 grains H4895 @ 2825 fps was the most accurate, this wasn’t max in my rifle but getting close.

One other note, barrel likes to be clean shooting the 250 TTSX! Groups grew from less than MOA to 3-4 inches until I scrubbed all the copper out then back to sub-MOA again.

I used 73gr of Re15 for 2822fps out of my 24" barrel, Remington 700 Classic with the older BarnesX. I used this load on two Namibia trips and one SE Alaska black bear. I do recall the bullets shot very well but don't have group size recorded. I avoided much bench work with the rifle.

I've found CFE223 to be very good in my 375 H&H

I use the loads listed in Barnes Manual 4 with RL 15. I get the ~ velocity stated and excellent accuracy from my pre 64 Mod 70.

I've loaded the 235gr TSX, the 250gr Sierra and 270 TSX with CFE223. The 300 TSX is getting RL-17. Haven't fired them yet - waiting for the snow to clear and the weather to warm a bit. Will post results after it happens.

Have you tried the Hornady 250? They shoot great in both my 375s.

My .375 H&H Dakota really likes the 250 TTSX, with both RL25 and H4350.

Has anybody shot a Cape Buffalo with this bullet?

Have been loading some 250 TTSX for use on Buffalo in herd reduction program. Will report in end of May.

I have loaded the 250ttsx in my weatherby mark 5 with near max rl-15. It shoots very well. Took a whitetail with it through the ribs mature buck. He wasnt as impressed as I thought he would be. Ran 25 yards walked 25 more and laid down. Lights out pretty quick but my bow puts them down faster. Prob a little tough for whitetails as we might have suspected.

I just picked up a Sako AV w/20" barrel from a member. I'm going to start with RL15 & I've got some 250 TTSX & 270 TSX's to try. In a couple of weeks, I should have some results to share.

I have. I also hunted the Buffalo with a Dakota 76. Was a pretty quick hunt since the buff only ran about 50 yards. Shot most others with 300g’s. The 250g is just such a good weight for plains game and dangerous game.

Where did it hit, and were you able to recover it?
