I bought a Savage Ultralight 280 Ackley and will be starting some test loads. What's your go to loads?

Got rid of mine quite a few years ago. From memory, though, I think 60.5 grains of 7828 with 160 grain accubonds. You should compare that to Nosler data, don't just trust my memory for safety.

RL 26 at 61.5-62.0 gn with any of three different 150's is a very pleasant spot in my Kimber. H4831SC and RL22 have also been very good, just not quite as good as the RL26.

63.5 VV N165 with 140 AB’S runs right at 3200 in my 23” barreled Borden Timberline and cuts the same hole.

H1000 with a 160gr Sierra GameKing hollow point and H4831sc with the 150gr ELD-X have been the death of several WV whitetail the past few years..
I've also developed good loads with RL23, IMR7828, IMR 4831, and IMR 4350 with bullets ranging from 120 to 154gr

H4831sc and the 154 grain Interlock. If you are interested, I’ll share the charge, but I’m not in front of my notes. This combo is consistently sub MOA in my Kimber M84L.

Like the 2 above good results with the 160 AB and 162 ELDX using Rl26 and H4831sc. 2933 FPS with the 4831sc and 3023 with the RL26.

Mine is IMR 7828 and 140 NBT, right at 3100 FPS
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

The 7828 is decent depending on my bullet chosen, but no matter what bullet I've tried, the 7828 is usually not the most accurate. H4831SC, RL23, and H1000 have outshot the 7828, but it's certainly useful and the speeds gained are great.
