Looking to buy around 100 pieces, new or fired 9.3x57 brass.
I've tried reforming 8mm to work, but I'm getting a ring around the neck & I'm not setup for neck turning.

I don’t think anyone makes it anymore unless you get lucky and score some old Norma. I’m using 8x57 for my 9.3x57. I haven’t had any issues but I’ve been annealing.

I annealed mine too, but I'm left with this bump, near the bottom of the neck. I can chamber an empty case, but a loaded (dummy) round prevents the bolt from camming closed. I've got 5 actual 9.3 cases & they load up fine. I've tried setting the shoulder back further & it made no difference.
I'm thinking i could turn out the ring, but i just don't have the gear.

Ok. That doesn’t sound right. I think my process was something like this. I used a mandrel larger than .366 to expand the neck, annealed, then resized with lube. I’m not sure I even had to trim. I then load them up and shot. They are a little tight to close the bolt for the first firing. After that I set the die so as not to bump the shoulder much if it all.
I do think some of the early 9.3x57 rifles husqvarna made can have excessive headspace but both of mine can basically shoot the same reloads with no issues. I have a fairly early 46 and a 146.

Ya none of mine ever had any ring like that. I’m using prvi cases. I tried forming some from 30-06 early on too but never could get them to chamber (necks too thick I think). I don’t have anything to turn the necks either.

Just to be more confusing (although it solved the issue) this is ONLY happening with S&B brass. The few pieces of PPU i just checked are perfect.

Thick necks? I take the Winchester 8x57 which was the only thing I could get at the time anneal, expand body out nearly to straight wall anneal again neck back down and finally anneal again. They all end up short at that time. Once fore formed and fired a couple of times I square the necks.
