Yeah, I just watched those a couple hours ago.
If one is using that brand of ammo, check your lot numbers.

I've always wanted one of those - not a SoCom but the full length version. I had one in the 1990s. Decided I'd rather have a more modern design in 7.62 NATO. Much easier to maintain. Sold the M1A.

What would be the modern update for a .308 battle rifle? What did you decide on? I like the FAL and the G3. Had both. Still have the G3. The FAL was great, too.
